The new Techni Measure models 260A are quartz force sensors with three separate sensing elements capable of simultaneous measurement of dynamic force in three orthogonal directions, X, Y and Z.

The sensors has been specifically designed for force measurement in dynamic mode in force-limited vibration testing, cutting tools, dynamometers, engine mount analysis, biomechanics research and modal analysis.

With dimensions from just 22.6 x 24.1 x 9.9 mm, the compact sensors will measure up to 45,000 N in tension and compression and 18,000 N in shear at frequencies of up to 90,000 Hz.

They are available with a choice of charge or ICPr mode, which utilises integral microelectronic circuitry providing a low-impedance voltage output.

Built to withstand harsh environmental conditions, the sensors are hermetically sealed with stainless steel construction and will operate over a wide temperature range of -73 to 177C.

To ease the exercise of fitting, mounting accessories are supplied with a plain or threaded stud, an anti-friction washer and pilot bushing.
