Tedea-Huntleigh has a new range of low-capacity single-point load cells, designed for analytical balances, jewellery scales, medical equipment and small parts-counting scales.

Tedea-Huntleigh has a new range of low-capacity single-point load cells, designed for analytical balances, jewellery scales, medical equipment and small parts-counting scales.

The new range, which comprises models 1002, 1004 and 1006, offers customers some of the smallest industrial load cells available.

Accurate to 0.1%, model 1002 is particularly suited to industrial measurement and medical applications with capacities from 5 to 20kg and yet is only 16.6mm high.

The model is available with the option of a 1kohm strain gauge for battery-powered equipment.

Designed for direct mounting in low capacity scales, model 1004 is appropriate for applications such as jewellery scales, analytical balances, medical research and low-level force measurement, where an overload protection device is included.

The model 1004 features a special humidity-resistant protective coating for unbeatable reliability.

Accurate to 0.01g on the lowest 300g capacity, this model is suitable for platform sizes up to 200 x 200mm.

Model 1006 is also designed for direct mounting in low capacity scales, for platform sizes up to 200 x 200mm.

With an accuracy of 0.02% model 1006 is suitable for applications such as postal scales, counting scales, general-purpose scales and specialist medical devices.

Built from aluminium, all the load cells in the new range are lightweight, robust and conform to IP66.

John Goodson, General Sales Manager at Tedea-Huntleigh, says: "The new load cells are smaller and more accurate than many similar products on the market.

We believe that their size combined with their range of measurement makes them the ideal choice for manufacturers of small-part counting scales and similar weighing machines, whatever the application".
