Tektronix continues to successfully partner with leading hardware and software companies to provide an extensive portfolio of embedded test solutions that simplify the challenges design engineers face when bringing mainstream electronic products to market.
Tektronix recently announced its latest alliance in this arena with Wind River Systems, a leading provider of software and services for smart devices.
The Tektronix/Wind River development tool enables cost-effective, embedded design real-time data analysis via an integrated solution.
"By establishing relationships with industry leaders and third-party developers in key computer and communications application areas, Tektronix is able to respond quickly to customer needs and emerging technologies," said Craig Overhage, vice president, Digital Systems Business Unit, Tektronix, "The solutions created through alliances with companies such as Wind River, enables our customers to shorten their development cycles and overcome time-to-market challenges when developing sophisticated embedded systems." Embedded designs contain the digital hardware and embedded software found inside all of today's electronic devices including communications infrastructure equipment such as routers and switchers, wireless base stations, mobile phone hand sets, and other electronics products.
The embedded system controls one or more functions of the equipment and may be required to respond to events in real time.
The trend within the industry is to reduce the number of embedded systems while at the same time the complexities of embedded software increase to accommodate greater functionality and sophisticated end user requirements.
This challenges the engineer with a higher-level of difficulty identifying hardware and software problems found during product development.
Test and measurement instrumentation plays a key role in the development of embedded systems.
Positioned in the heart of this industry, Tektronix offers Windows-based logic analysis products that easily integrate with third-party hardware and software solutions on an industry-accepted platform.
