"We need to use the best high-end equipment to ensure the quality of our services", said Mick Both, Director of Engineering and Technical Operations, RaceTech: "Our past experience with Tektronix monitoring and measuring products has been excellent and led us to our current purchase." "Mission-critical broadcast situations, such as live broadcasts from sporting events, require assurance that video signals are complying with industry specifications", said Bob Agnes, vice president, Video Business Unit, Tektronix: "The Tektronix WFM601 waveform monitors will enable RaceTech to accurately and reliably monitor baseband video signals and ensure quality of service in its broadcasts.
Tektronix is proud to provide RaceTech with a complete solution for their complex serial component digital video monitoring requirements." Tektronix WFM601 standard-definition waveform monitors comprise the majority of the purchase.
These monitors are self-contained, half-rack wide, waveform/vector monitors for the 270 Mbit/s serial component operating environment.
They share a common design philosophy and are specialised for different applications within the television plant.
The WFM601A is an operational monitor that provides the signal monitoring features useful to a graphics workstation, telecine or camera set-up operator.
The WFM601E extends the WFM601 platform to provide a more comprehensive evaluation of the digital transport layer, and is used in digital production and master control operating centres.
The WFM601M offers all the video features of the other two, and provides data analysis capabilities for the installation and maintenance engineer. Request a free brochure from Tektronix ...
