Size reduced in contactors and
protection devices
Easy integration, reduced space requirements, faster wiring and environmentally friendly construction are offered by the new TeSys model D contactors and protection devices
Easy integration with modern automation systems, reduced space requirements, faster wiring, environmentally friendly construction, and performance gains compared with Telemecanique's market-leading D-range products - these are just some of the benefits offered by the remarkable new TeSys model D offer for power control and protection, from Telemecanique, a brand of Schneider Electric TeSys contactors and protection devices rated at up to 15kW are just 45mm wide, including a normally-open and a normally-closed auxiliary contact

They provide valuable savings in panel space, and can be supplied with spring-clamp terminals as an alternative to standard screw connections.
Telemecanique spring-clamp terminals with integral backstops cut wiring time by up to 40%, and guarantee connection reliability.
They are also immune to the effects of normal shock and vibration, unlike screw-clamp terminals.

Enclosures come ready to install
Pragma enclosures are available in 13 and 24-module wide versions, with provision for mounting up to four rows of devices.
Uniquely, the TeSys offer also features contactors rated at up to 38A AC3 with unique low-consumption coils.
These are ideal for operation direct from programmable controllers and other electronic control products.
Prices are directly comparable to an AC contactor used in conjunction with an interface relay.
For low-consumption contactors up to 15kW, DC coil consumption is just 2.4W, allowing smaller power supplies to be used, and dramatically reducing panel heating.
As an additional bonus, wide-range coils are fitted as standard, and coil suppression is built in.
All TeSys contactors have two internal auxiliary contacts within their compact 45mm width, eliminating the need, in many applications, to use external auxiliary blocks.
Products in the range are also designed to offer the highest levels of safety, and feature increased insulation distances between control and power circuits, IP2X touch-protected terminals, and safety hoods for contactors which prevent manual operation.
Telemecanique's innovative TeSys offer is complemented by the new Quickfit starter connection system.
This allows up to eight motor starters to be rapidly assembled on a single baseplate, without the use of tools.
Power and control connections are made automatically, and the system includes interface modules which allow direct connection to PLCs via pre-assembled cables, or to conventional control devices.
Bus coupler modules are also available to connect Quickfit starter assemblies to all popular networking systems, including AS-i, CANOpen, Devicenet, Interbus-S and Profibus-DP.
