Telemecanique is also demonstrating its confidence in its new TeSys model LC1D contactors by offering these compact and attractively priced components with a five-year warranty, as standard

Not only does Telemecanique believe that its new TeSys model LC1D contactors provide unbeatable quality and performance, it is also demonstrating its confidence in this belief by offering these compact and attractively priced components with a five-year warranty, as standard.

Under the terms of the new warranty, which applies to all TeSys model LC1D contactors sold and used in the United Kingdom, any contactor which develops a fault within five years of its date of purchase will be replaced free-of-charge if returned to Telemecanique together with details of the application and type of failure.

As would be expected, products which have mechanical damage, or have been used incorrectly, are excluded.

"In most modern electrical installations, downtime is horrendously expensive," said Chaz Andrews, Telemecanique's TeSys product manager, "which is why we've developed the new TeSys range from the outset with reliability in mind.

The electrical life of the new contactors is exceptional - in some instances three times that of other seemingly similar products." "For end users," he continued, "this means lower running and maintenance costs, while for equipment suppliers, it means fewer breakdowns and happier customers.

Now, both groups can also benefit from the additional peace of mind provided - at no extra cost - by our new five-year warranty." The Telemecanique TeSys LC1D contactors covered by the new warranty are available with ratings up to 75kW.

All have two internal auxiliary contacts within their compact bodies, eliminating the need, in many applications, to use external auxiliary blocks.

Products in the range offer the highest levels of safety, and feature increased insulation distances between control and power circuits, IP2X touch-protected terminals, safety hoods which prevent inadvertent manual operation, and many other benefits for state-of-the-art control systems.
