Osiris Design 18 sensors are supplied in two families - the economical Optimum series, and the versatile Universal series.
Ideal for OEM and similar applications where requirements are well defined, the competitively priced Optimum series sensors are suitable for operation from DC supplies, and feature pre-set sensitivity.
For more demanding applications, or where operating conditions may be subject to change, Universal sensors offer adjustable sensitivity, and an integral stability LED as an aid to setting up.
Universal sensors are available in DC only versions for use on supplies in the range 12V to 24V, and in AC/DC versions which will work, without adjustment, on any supply in the range 24V to 240V.
Both Design 18 photosensor families include metal-bodied and plastic-bodied devices, with a choice of pre-cabled or plug-in connections.
The sensors are available in through-beam, reflex, polarised reflex and diffuse reflective versions, and the Universal family also includes background-suppression models.
PNP and NPN output versions are offered and, in either case, the sensor output can be programmed by the user for dark or light switching.
All models in the Osiris Design 18 photosensor range from Telemecanique have high excess gain, ensuring stable operation, even under difficult operating conditions.
They also have an IP67 protection rating, making them suitable for use in the harshest of industrial environments, and plastic lenses to meet the requirements of the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
