Academy set to help electrical distributors

A Schneider Electric product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 1, 2002

Schneider Electric has launched the Schneider Electric Academy, a training initiative which has been carefully formulated to address the needs of distributor staff at all levels

As part of its on-going commitment to helping distributors grow their businesses, Schneider Electric has launched the Schneider Electric Academy, a training initiative which has been carefully formulated to address the needs of distributor staff at all levels.

Courses offered by the Academy, all of which are provided free-of-charge to franchised distributors, cover an extensive range of technical, commercial and product-related subjects.

"The Schneider Electric Academy is the kingpin of our "Learning for Life" strategy," said Denis Rovetto, Schneider Electric's Country Distributor Manager for the UK, "which is dedicated to providing training of the highest quality for distributor staff at every stage of their career development.

This strategy allows distributor employees to improve their status, and to keep up to date with the latest developments, while allowing the distributors themselves to build a team of expert staff to support customers, and to generate business growth." As a further incentive for Schneider Electric distributors to take full advantage of the Schneider Electric Academy training initiative, it is linked to the organisation's innovative distributor reward scheme.

Designed to reward those distributors who demonstrate effort, enthusiasm and commitment, this scheme takes into account the level of staff training within each individual distributor branch.

Those distributors that have well trained staff are well placed to receive additional rewards related to the sale of products from the brands of Schneider Electric.

The courses offered by the new Schneider Electric Academy are, in most cases, held at the Schneider Electric Training centres in Wolverhampton and Coventry, where training capacity has recently been doubled to keep pace with demand.

Many of the courses are recognised by external organisations as contributing toward personal development, and all successful trainees receive certificates in recognition of their achievements.
