Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 1, 2002

Schneider Electric has issued a caution over products manufactured by an Indian company, Telemecanique and Controls (India).

Schneider Electric has issued a caution over products manufactured by an Indian company, Telemecanique and Controls (India), advising customers that these products are not manufactured with the technical assistance, or under the quality control of Telemecanique, or of Schneider Electric Industries, the successor in industrial and commercial activities to Telemecanique.

The products covered by the caution are contactors referenced as TC1, control relays referenced as TCA2, and overload relays referenced as TR2.

All of these products are manufactured in India by Telemecanique and Controls (India), and are marketed by this company and its agents/distributors in the UK.

There has been no technical or commercial co-operation of any kind between Schneider Electric Industries and Telemecanique and Controls (India) for many years, and various legal proceeding have been initiated by Schneider Electric against Telemecanique and Controls (India).

Schneider Electric Industries of Rueil-Malmaison, France, and Schneider Electric of Telford, UK, say they cannot and will not be held responsible for any damage or injury to people, goods and fixed assets which might occur as a consequence using the above-mentioned products.
