Monitor Pro V7.2 is a versatile and adaptable Scada solution for applications with between 64 and 100,000 data points.

Providing managers with real-time access to the shop-floor data they need to operate their businesses effectively and profitably is now simpler than ever with the latest version of Monitor Pro Scada from the Telemecanique brand of Schneider Electric.

A versatile and adaptable Scada solution for applications with between 64 and 100,000 data points, Monitor Pro V7.2 features an open architecture which makes the data it collects from shop-floor processes readily available to upstream business computer systems.

Key enhancements in this new version of Monitor Pro, which has been developed in response to feedback from the product's large and rapidly growing customer base, include built-in redundancy, full Microsoft VBA scripting, and an integrated operator event logger which tracks all client activity, recording who has made what changes, and from which PC node.

This feature can assist end customers in the pharmaceutical, food and beverage industries to achieve compliance with 21CFR11.

The new version, which is now fully qualified under Microsoft XP, in line with the latest industry requirements, also offers a new tag branching function which allows easy re-use of graphic objects, making programming easier, and reducing the risk of design errors.

In addition, to ensure an accurate and cost-effective match between the user's requirements and the Monitor Pro solution, Monitor Pro servers are now being offered with a wider choice of I/O capacity options.

While suitable for use with installations of all types, Monitor Pro V7.2 is especially easy to use with other products from Telemecanique.

It comes with Protocol Suite and OPC Server, both from Telemecanique, and it offers new application startup wizards that guide users through the set-up procedures, so they are able to quickly achieve connection to PLCs.

Like earlier versions of Monitor Pro, version 7.2 offers users maximum reliability and minimum downtime, as its design is based on software architecture which has already been proven in more than 45,000 Scada applications.

As supplied, it offers an out-of-the-box solution, yet it can be highly customised with powerful software tools, to suit applications ranging from stand-alone systems to enterprise-wide installations.
