Growth in the use of outdoor electrical equipment has resulted in increased sales and a range expansion for Aquaseal, part of the weatherproof wiring accessories offer from Clipsal, a brand of Schneider Electric.

Clipsal's wide weatherproof offer includes socket outlets, switch disconnectors, passive infra-red switches (PIRs) and light fittings.

Made from polycarbonate, the range is particularly robust and resilient.

Units are resistant to water, dust and chemicals, and the high impact casings are able to withstand extreme temperatures (-20 to +60C).

Aquaseal products in particular are ideal for a wide range of applications, from simple outdoor lighting in domestic properties, to commercial theme parks and harsh industrial environments.

The range is not only weatherproofed, but also has the extra safety feature available of neon indication to show when the switch is on or off.

Aquaseal is ideal for use with air conditioning, pools and spas, outdoor water features, outdoor lighting and gardening equipment.

The product is available with either an IP56 or 66 rating and complies with international safety standards, including the relevant British Standards.

The product is available in two sizes, 80 x 160 x 85 and 80 x 103 x 85mm.
