Designed for accurate positioning and speed control, the latest range of rotary encoders from Telemecanique includes exclusive programmable and fieldbus versions Dedicated to applications such as automobile, machine tools, robotics, cranes, materials handling, automatic dispensers, packaging, cutting machines, the new encoders are available on short deliveries, and the simplicity of the range makes Osicoder products easy to select as well as significantly reducing stocking and spares requirements

The range includes one of the only programmable incremental encoders on the market.

This innovative 58mm diameter model allows users to select any resolution from 256 to 80,000 points.

Programming is carried out using DIP switches, with no need for a PC or other special programming aids.

A single model can be used in many different applications.

This is a big benefit for users and distributors who need to stock a much smaller range of products.

Also available are absolute encoders with either Profibus DP or CANopen interfaces.

These units simplify wiring, and facilitate integration with modern bus-based automation systems.

Other Osicoder models include fixed-resolution incremental and absolute encoders with housing diameters from 40 to 90mm.

All models are offered with solid or hollow shafts in up to three different diameters.

Product technical specifications have been strongly enhanced: devices can be used from 5 to 30V and are fully protected against short circuits and reverse polarity.

Products are shock resistant up to 100g, and all types offer IP65 ingress protection.

In addition, the encoders can withstand a maximum load of 10N and can be used continuously in temperatures as high as 100C.

A complete range of accessories is also available to allow users to mount the products in any configuration.
