Apart from coming with autotuning and macros, the new motor/drive combination also feature Schneider Electric's technology to create the most open control platform in the market.
With its extensive pedigree in all aspects of automation it was inevitable that Schneider Electric would expand its offer in the motion field.
The new products are designated the Lexium 05 servo drive range from Telemecanique, a brand of Schneider Electric.
Positioned alongside the well established Altivar range of AC inverters, Altistart motor starters, the Modicom, Quantum and Unity PLC offers, Magelis HMIs, sensors, switches, relays and pushbuttons, all within the Telemecanique portfolio, the new Lexium products will complete a total automation and control package.
Also in 2007, Schneider Electric will announce a new way to specify machine control solutions.
As part of the greatly expanded motion offer, the company will present ready made tested and approved solutions for all sorts of machine types - further simplifying their design and use.
