Goliath G2B lights up building sites

A Schneider Electric product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 18, 2009

Thorsman, a Schneider Electric company, has brought out a range of products to aid those working on building sites.

The Goliath G2B is a compact fluorescent site light.

In the event of a power failure on site, the G2B provides continuous light output for up to 60 minutes, allowing work to carry on safely and reducing the risk of trips or falls and other hazards associated with power cuts.

The Chargepak lets workers keep 240V battery packs for cordless power tools charged on a site with only 110V supplies.

Chargepak provides an output of 0.5A at 240V from a 110V supply and allows battery packs to be charged for use with drills, saws, sanders, torches and Goliath lights.

Thorsman has also released two portable power transformers for use with 110V equipment.

The 1.5kVA single outlet transformer and a 3kVA twin outlet transformer feature tough epoxy/silica cases and resetable thermal cut-outs to avoid fire risks.

A sturdy Thorsman four-way splitter box and a three-way inline splitter give workers more flexibility on site.
