Schneider Electric has launched a personalised automation package to support the Modicon M340 mid-range PLC.
According to the company, this is intended to provide a 'fast track' to gaining the knowledge and confidence required to make a difference to automated control systems.
The package includes a customised consultation with an application expert who can advise on any industry 'hot topics', such as programming methods and best practices, communications and connectivity, remote maintenance access to automation equipment, local operator control (HMI control), data logging, networking legacy equipment and motion control.
As well as the consultation, the package includes a pre-assembled rig of automation equipment.
This includes the Modicon M340 PLC with a simulator and the industry-standard IEC 61131-3-compliant automation configuration software, Unity Pro, which will be introduced during the consultation.
The Modicon M340 PLC offers connectivity with serial, Ethernet, CANopen and USB built into the processor, as well as an integrated web server, which provides functions for remote diagnostics, recipe and data management.
