Sorma brand transitioned to the Tennant brand

A Tennant product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 8, 2001

The best of industrial scrubber-dryer, commercial vacuum, and outdoor sweeper products from Tennant and Sorma have been combined, to establish a high-quality full-line offering to meet market needs

In response to dynamic industry changes Tennant acknowledges a strong need to realign brands, offerings and operations.

As a result of this, the Sorma brand will be transitioned to the Tennant brand with planned implementation on May 1st 2001.

Whether you're looking for an industrial scrubber-dryer, a commercial vacuum, or an outdoor sweeper, now there's one company to call and get it all: Tennant.

With our complete offering of floor maintenance equipment, we offer the most comprehensive end-to-end equipment solution in the industry.

Tennant products are known globally to offer superior quality, innovation and after sales service.

With the creation of a unified industrial and commercial offering the Tennant brand is given greater brand recognition in the market place.

What these changes will mean to our product...

* Optimalisation of our product range: the best of products from Tennant and Sorma combined, to establish a high-quality full-line offering to meet market needs.

* All products will be sold under the Tennant label and will be all teal or a combination of teal and cream colors to strengthen corporate image and build a unified offering.

* Tennant-branded products have the same name all over the world - for Europe this means a name change for nearly all of our commercial products.

We will be using a logical numbering system where all numbers fall into a product category - for example, all scrubber-dryers will be placed into a 5000 series number such as 5100, 5200 (for an existing SS 2001), 5500 (for an existing 2401), etc.
