Product data exchange solutions set for
China
Two new orders for aerospace and automotive industry customers in China underline the value of Theorem CAD product data exchange solutions to the world's leading mechanical engineering organisations.
Two new orders for aerospace and automotive industry customers in China underline the establishment of Theorem CAD product data exchange solutions as de facto standards for the world's leading mechanical engineering organisations Worth more than GBP 50,000, the new orders for Theorem CADverter licences will streamline the analysis of 3D models and shared use of data at Chinese aerospace giant, AVIC, and the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation

Software eases data management
CADverters for IsoDraw provide a highly cost-effective and easy to use method of dealing with Catia and UG NX data.
Translators boost operating speed
Theorem's new series of CADverters will typically translate data to and from PTC's Pro/E format three times faster than before.
AVIC selected Theorem's advanced translation software to enable 3D models from various CAD systems to be integrated with SC03, an automatic FEA system developed by Rolls-Royce for the analysis of component stress, displacement, thermal and vibration characteristics.
By using Theorem CADverter, AVIC can now conduct timely and accurate thermal and/or stress analyses at any stage in the design cycle - irrespective of the CAD modelling system used to create the part or assembly geometry.
In parallel, the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation will be deploying Theorem CADverters to translate Catia V5 CATProduct and CATPart data into the Unigraphics' product lifecycle management (PLM) JT Visualisation format.
The translation processes will be integrated into Shanghai Automotive's corporate PDM environment, enabling product data to be accessed throughout the whole organisation.
Commenting on the new orders, Theorem's General Manager, Keith Jeacock said: "We have established strong business links with China over a number of years".
"Demand for our products has grown significantly as the country has assumed an increasingly important role in some major international engineering projects".
"These two latest orders confirm our ability to supply and support companies that need to collaborate and translate complex engineering 3D designs; regardless of where they are located in the world".
"I am delighted to welcome both AVIC and Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation into our user community".
