Catia users are keen on conversion
High levels of interest in Theorem Solutions' CADverter translator products at the recent European Catia Forum (ECF) in Paris have led to a major uplift in enquiry levels.
High levels of interest in Theorem Solutions' CADverter translator products at the recent European Catia Forum (ECF) in Paris have led to a major uplift in enquiry levels and invitations to tender for CAD translation opportunities from around the world.
The potential new business not only covers the company's Catia V4 and V5 series translator products, but includes other members of the Theorem range as well.
Projects include existing customers needing to retain their translation capabilities as they migrate from Catia V4 to Catia V5; new customers within the OEM and supply chain communities; and several entire migration programmes.
In addition, strong interest was registered at the event by the IBM Business Partner community regarding the resale of Theorem products.
With more than 2000 delegates, ECF has established itself as a premier forum that brings together Catia users and decision makers, not just from Europe, but from around the world.
The ongoing use of Catia V4 in long life-cycle projects within the automotive and aerospace engineering sectors ensured that there was still strong interest in Theorem's well proven family of translators at ECF.
In parallel, the continuing and accelerating growth of Catia V5 installations meant that the company's new range of high capability Catia V5 translators also attracted a great deal of attention too.
Theorem's Catia V5 products are the result of close co-operation with Spatial, Dassault's wholly owned translation arm.
Their use of Spatial technology to create true Catia V5 geometry results in some of the most successful, high quality translations available today from any source.
According to Keith Jeacock, General Manager of Theorem's UK operations: "Our relationship with Spatial brings us closer to the Catia community".
"Furthermore, ECF is an excellent venue to meet end users and decision makers in a relaxed business environment".
"The event's presentations and workshops enable us to hear views and identify trends, as well as to meet with technical specialists from every Catia application".
"This not only provides us with the opportunity to refine current products to meet users' immediate needs, but also to plan for the next generation of CAD data translation requirements within the Catia community".
