The 847Q lugged butterfly valve is the latest addition to the 800 Series of Teflon-seated valves from Tomoe Valve.

Combining the latest in valve design and materials technology, the 847Q reduces maintenance time and costs, and is fully rated for end-of-line service.

The system remains fully operational, even during maintenance, therefore saving engineers the hassle of draining the pipes before any repair work is carried out.

Like other valves in the 800 Series, the 847Q has low torque, long wear properties and high chemical resistance.

The seat design ensures that high levels of memory are retained, reducing the effect of disc entrapment in the seat when the valves are closed for long periods and on temperature cycling duties.

Balanced springs and the stem sealing design ensure consistent low torque figures and high integrity stem sealing properties.

The 847Q is available in sizes DN50 to DN400mm.

The range will be expanded later in the year to offer valves from DN450 up to DN600mm for larger applications.

"The 847Q incorporates all the features and benefits of our highly popular 800 Series", says Mike Perkins, Marketing Manager for Tomoe Valve.

"Not only is it a high-performance product but it helps minimise maintenance downtime, for a more efficient and productive operation".

Other products available in the 800 Series valve range includes, the 846T wafer, 847T wafer, 843T wafer and 845T wafer.
