A Tomoe Valve product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 15, 2006

Tomoe Tritec and Tomoe Valve have merged to become one, designing, manufacturing and supplying the industry's widest range of process valves and control systems.

Tomoe, a world leader in the development of butterfly valves and associated actuation and control systems, has recently merged its two European-based operating divisions under the one Tomoe brand umbrella.

Tomoe Tritec and Tomoe Valve have merged to become one market-leading valve solution company designing, manufacturing and supplying the industry's widest range of process valves and control systems.

The newly combined company is called Tomoe Valve, located at the European headquarters in Newport, South Wales, UK and handles operations in the UK, Europe, Africa, Middle East, USA and Canada.

From this site Tomoe implements a full programme of design, manufacture and valve assembly, as well as warehousing comprehensive stocks for all Tomoe process valves.

Commenting on the unification of both divisions, Willie Duncan, Managing Director, said: "Combining the two companies under the one Tomoe brand makes perfect operational sense and allows our unified sales force to offer the complete range of next generation control equipment, butterfly and process valves, flow control software, and actuators as a truly integrated one-stop-valve solution".

"Now as a larger company, Tomoe is better placed to deliver an enhanced customer-focused operation and meet its aggressive growth strategy that aims to double the global organisation by 2008".

"Over the next few months we will implement a complete rebranding of the company across all product lines to reflect the changes and enhance our valve solution offerings", Duncan added.

The Tomoe range is recognised as one of the finest most comprehensive and reliable ranges in the world with unsurpassed levels of leak tightness, low torque, longevity and wear resistance.

The company's brand of triple offset valves are internationally proven in harsh and critical environments, both onshore and offshore, providing positive, leaktight shutoff and making a valuable contribution to overall process efficiency in the oil, gas and petrochemical markets.
