TransMagic has upgraded its innovative and affordable 3D CAD translation software.

In addition to many enhancements to the Iges, Catia V4, Pro/Engineer, and Unigraphics translators, TransMagic R4.2 now supports the latest versions of Catia V5, Unigraphics and Acis.

"The new CAD version support in R4.2 combined with recent performance boosts, makes TransMagic a solid investment with a rapid payback", said Todd Reade, President and CEO, TransMagic.

"CAD file translation is easier, faster and more affordable than ever with TransMagic".

Other functionality and enhancements new in TransMagic R4.2 include: improved translators write smaller Catia V4 files; Catia V4 files are now repaired automatically to stitch surfaces together and close gaps; improved handling of units of measure and scaling; the ability to read Catia V5 "free vertices" (point data); zoom in/out function support is now provided for mouse "scroll wheels"; all repair operations remove duplicate entities; and improved "translation log" functions.

TransMagic's products provide a unique combination of 3D CAD translation and geometry repair, along with viewing and collaboration tools.

TransMagic supports most major MCAD and neutral file formats including Catia V4 and V5, Unigraphics, Pro/Engineer, SAT (Acis), Parasolid, Step, Iges and HSF.

TransMagic offers innovative ways for clients to collaborate and view 3D files over the Internet.

In addition, models can also be emailed as 3D HTML documents so they can be viewed in any Internet browser.
