The 2005 release represents the next generation of TransMagic's multiformat CAD translation and repair applications.
Available now, the TransMagic 2005 product line includes the flagship product TransMagic, TransMagic Plus (which includes Catia V5 read/write capabilities), and TransMagic Batch for unattended data migration projects.

Many new features have been added to build on TransMagic's signature ease of use and wide range of supported CAD formats.
TransMagic 2005 addresses over 80% of customer enhancement requests with an impressive list of new features, file formats, interface updates and CAD version support.
"Our product line has matured to meet the needs of large manufacturing companies such as Honeywell, Daimler Chrysler and Honda, as well as the smaller companies who supply them", remarked Todd Reade, TransMagic CEO.
"The TransMagic 2005 product line offers a broader range of functionality and high performance to tackle projects of any size".
Key enhancements in TransMagic 2005 include: updated CAD version support for Unigraphics NX2, Catia V5 R13, Acis R13 and Parasolid 16; improved handling of Catia V4 files; export of stereolithography format files for rapid prototyping; 3D mesh output for use in FEA applications; and the application interface has been enhanced for ease of use.
Menus update dynamically to guide the user to make optimum selections.
An updated assembly browser offers the ability to filter selection of parts or change part names.
New tools measure surface area, arc radius and edge length.
A new "unhook faces" tool allows the user to select and export surfaces for use in mould design And significant improvements have been made to translation performance and render speed.
TransMagic provides CAD formats that are compatible with every CAD software system, making TransMagic the first complete and affordable multiformat application of its kind.
TransMagic products support most major MCAD and neutral file formats including Catia V5, Catia V4, Unigraphics, Pro/Engineer, Acis, Parasolid, Step, StereoLithography, Iges and HSF.
In addition to 3D CAD translation and geometry repair, TransMagic's products provide extensive file viewing and collaboration tools.
TransMagic customers can collaborate and view 3D files over the Internet or e-mail 3D models to coworkers and view them using any Internet browser.
