Solidworks support added to 3D
translation package

3D CAD translation software given direct support for Solidworks part and assembly files.

TransMagic, a supplier of 3D CAD translation software, has released the TransMagic 2006 product line with direct support for Solidworks part and assembly files It also provides updated support for Catia V5 R16 and an option to write 3D models in the NGrain file format for use within NGrain software products

Added features and enhancements in the 2006 release include native support for Solidworks part (.sldprt) and assembly (.sldasm) files for all TransMagic products.

Support for the Catia V5 R16 part and assembly files has been updated.

TransMagic has added to all its translation software products the ability to export files in the NGrain .3ko format.

NGrain software products support installation, maintenance and repair training on complex equipment.

TransMagic users can choose Step output in either the AP203 or AP214 format.

The colourise function saves time by facilitating repair operations to convert complex surface models into solid models.

This is useful when dealing with IGES and Catia assembly files.

"As Solidworks grows in popularity, there are an increasing number of requests for TransMagic to support Solidworks files", said Todd Reade, President of TransMagic.

"As a result, we have made native Solidworks file support available in all of our viewing and translation products".
