New from Tyco Electronics comes a high-performance servo press.

Despite its highly competitive price point, the PC-controlled electric press offers leading-edge functionality, including a fully automatic data-driven setup that eliminates valuable operator time spent making machine adjustments.

Offering fully automatic control of parameters such as speed, force and height during operation, Tyco Electronics' Manta can support a variety of cycle termination techniques, including press to height.

To ensure extremely accurate levels of performance, the versatile servo press employs advanced PCM (press quality monitoring) quality control on min/max force and seated height.

Incorporating a C-frame "flat-rock" design with 305mm (12in) throat depth, the Manta uses real time SPC X-bar and R-charts - together with CPK - and provides PCB tracking by serial number, enabling 100% traceability on every component placed.

Capable of exerting a force of up to 9kN, the press is available with a number of production accessories, including barcode serial number entry, touch screen monitor, ergonomic air table and a number of turnkey tooling packages.

The Manta is fully CE certified.
