Intelligent probe recognition automatically adjusts settings in the gauge at the same time as transmitting recognition data.

Tritex NDT has appointed Alpha Technologies as its new distributor for Multigauge ultrasonic thickness gauges The triple echo ultrasonic metal thickness gauges are suited for checking corrosion levels in applications such as the inspection of pipelines, storage tanks, bridges lighting columns and road tankers

The gauges have been designed for robustness, simplicity of use and accuracy.

Metal thickness measurements can be easily taken through paint and other protective coatings giving just the remaining wall thickness.

All probes have IPR (intelligent probe recognition), which automatically adjusts settings in the gauge at the same time as transmitting recognition data - the result is a perfectly matched probe and gauge for enhanced performance.

The automatic measurement verification system ensures only true measurements are displayed, even on the most heavily corroded metals.

Tritex Triple Echo also significantly reduces preparation time as it eliminates the need to remove surface coatings, just the metal is measured.

Weathering steel presents no problem.

All gauges are manufactured to comply with British Standards BS EN 15317:2007, which covers the characterisation and verification of ultrasonic thickness measuring equipment.
