More support for thickness gauging
Tritex ultrasonic thickness gauges use the multiple echo technique of measurement which allows coatings to be completely ignored.
Tritex NDT has joined forces with Fidgeon to promote Tritex Multigauges into the UK industrial sector Fidgeon has been well established in the UK NDT industry for more than 30 years and has a wealth of experience in the promotion and understanding of thickness gauging applications

Gauges get the measure of metal thickness
Ultrasonic thickness gauges provide reliable measurements of metal thickness when checking for corrosion or confirming process quality.
Ultrasonic thickness gauges meet new standards
Tritex NDT's Multigauge 5500 and Multigauge 5600 meet the requirements of BS EN15317:2007, which came into force on 30th March 2007.
With offices in the North East and sales people located around the UK, Fidgeon is well positioned, both geographically and technically, to offer Tritex customers a high level of support.
Tritex ultrasonic thickness gauges use the multiple echo technique of measurement which allows coatings to be completely ignored.
The gauges also have features such as intelligent probe recognition (IPR) which allows data to be transferred between the probe and the gauge resulting in a perfectly matched pair.
Also, Coating Plus+ allows measurements through thicker coatings up to 20mm thick and the Automatic Measurement Verification System (AMVS) ensures only true back wall echoes are used to display the thickness measurement, giving accurate results every time.
There are currently two gauges in the range which have been built for robustness and ease of use.
The Multigauge 5500 is for mounting onto a waist belt to make the task of climbing ladders and scaffolding or using rope access much easier.
The Multigauge 5600 has an LCD that gives on screen information such as the velocity setting, probe frequency and signal strength.
Both gauges are supplied as complete kits with a 3 year warranty.
The gauges are ideally suited for checking metal corrosion levels in applications such as bridges, lighting columns, road tankers, storage tanks, pipelines, general industry and ships.
