Thames Side-Maywood has produced an extremely rugged and durable, side mounting load cell specifically for the high fatigue stresses and impact loads experienced with bin lift vehicles.

The Series VC 1600 load cells are easy to install and enable precision on-board weighing and logging of trade refuse at the moment of lift.

Much more accurate than total body weighing, this means customers can easily be invoiced in relation to the exact amount of refuse collected from each bin.

The VC 1600 possess excellent dynamic loading capability, and can withstand the demanding physical parameters and harsh environments of on-board vehicle weighing.

Unlike most other load cells used for bin lift weighing systems they feature a fully welded construction sealed to IP68 rather than IP65, and a load sensor manufactured from stainless steel rather than aluminium, producing an extremely high overload capacity of 300%.

Trade approved for commercial weighing to OIML R60 1991, the VC 1600 are available in capacities of 500kg, 1000kg and 2000kg, much lower than those involved in total body weighing, and therefore more accurate, and can be easily installed to front, rear, or side loading lifting systems.
