Thames Side-Maywood has become the sole distributor in the UK and Ireland for Utilcell, Spain's leading manufacturer of load cells.

Thames Side is now able to offer a range of load cells complementary to its own, enabling it to provide a more comprehensive service to existing customers, and expand into new markets.

Founded in 1980, Utilcell has primarily provided load cells to scale manufacturers.

These are generally of smaller capacity than Thames Side-Maywood's load cells and include the 350, a single ended shear beam for platform scales or silo tank and hopper scales.

The company also makes large-capacity products for the weighbridge industry, including the 740 self-centring compression column cell.
