High corrosion resistance on new linear guide

THK UK is launching a new LM Guide the HSR.M2, which features high corrosion resistance, making it the ideal choice for submerged or moisture prone applications where longevity is key.

Traditional linear motion systems typically require surface treatments to adapt them to hostile conditions.

Normal bearing quality stainless steel in conventional applications in difficult environments is vulnerable to rust and corrosion.

Always on the cutting edge of new developments THK responded to the challenge with the corrosion resistant HSR.M2.

The HSR.M2 has no need for surface treatment due to the high corrosion resistance stainless steel used in the LM rail, carriage and balls.

In test conditions, over 24hrs at different combinations of temperature and humidity of 95%, the HSR.M2 demonstrated superior corrosion resistance when compared to standard stainless steel guides.

The HSR.M2 is available in three models allowing optimum flexibility in weight and outline dimensions.

These are the HSR 15 M2A, the HSR 20 M2A, and the HSR 25 M2A, which are available in Guide lengths ranging from 160mm to 1000mm.
