THK has launched a new ballscrew repair service for all types, makes and configurations of ballscrew.

The service has been introduced to give end users a viable and cost effective alternative to purchasing new ballscrews if breakdowns or damage occurs.

The service is simple, fast and easy to use.

Following collection from customer sites, damaged ballscrews are thoroughly assessed by qualified engineers, including complete strip down and cleaning of the product, to determine if the ballscrew needs to undergo a complete rebuild or a simple repair.

Any make or type of ballscrew can be rebuilt up to a maximum diameter of 200mm and a length of 10m.

If the condition of the ballscrew is beyond refurbishment, equivalent specification ballscrews can be supplied.

As part of the repair facility, THK offers a wide range of services including reball and resetting of preload, shaft polish as well as shaft and ball regrind.

Additionally, the service also covers the replacement of damaged parts, such as seals, return tubes, shafts and ball nuts.

Fast turnaround is guaranteed to ensure that customer downtime is kept to an absolute minimum.

Repaired or rebuilt ballscrews undergo rigorous testing to ensure that the product closely matches the original manufacturer's specifications.
