Miniature guides keep it quiet
THK continues to push the boundaries of its proven Caged Ball technology, with the introduction of the system into a new range of miniature SRS LM guides.
THK continues to push the boundaries of its proven Caged Ball technology, with the introduction of the system into a new range of miniature SRS LM guides The benefits of caged ball technology, most notably, silent movement, virtually maintenance free operation and high speed, make the new miniature linear motion guides particularly suitable for use in semiconductor, electronics manufacture, biotec, medical and precision automation and measurement applications

Linear actuator covers 100mm to 2700mm
THK has released details of its adaptable GL linear actuator range, designed to provide cost effective linear motion even for high speed applications of up to 3000mm per second.
Available in 9, 12 and 15mm rail widths, the new miniature SRS LM guides maintain compact dimensions in all planes.
For example, the 9mm rail has a total width, with block, of 20mm and is just 10mm in height.
In addition to the three rail widths, the new miniature series also encompasses an additional wide version that enables higher load ratings and permissible moments to be applied.
Furthermore, linear bearing lubrication in the new SRS miniature series is provided by THK's specially developed grease, type AFB, which substantially reduces the generation of airborne particles in operation.
As a result, the new range offers benefits in clean room applications, across a variety of industries.
"The introduction of the miniature SRS LM guides with caged ball greatly extends the application possibilities of the range", comments Bob Love, Internal Sales Manager.
"Initial product trials have provided very promising results and we are confident that the new miniature products will offer superior performance over the competition".
