Voice of the CAD industry seeks new members

A The CAD Society product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 22, 2004

The CAD Society has devised new membership plans and a redesigned website.

The CAD Society, a not-for-profit CAD industry user association, has announced new membership plans and a redesigned website.

New membership plans allow members to choose their level of participation, and the new website provides improved information about the CAD industry and boasts an improved navigation menu.

Four membership opportunities are now available with membership selection on either an individual or corporate basis.

As always, free membership will be available for professionals and students; benefits include limited website access and a voice (and vote) on industry issues.

Additional benefits are available with paid packages; $25 for professionals and $10 for students per year.

In addition to the benefits free memberships have, paid members gain full website access, the privilege to nominate individuals for CAD Society awards and discounts on industry publications.

In the near future, the CAD Society will provide software and hardware product discounts, original content including CAD software reviews, access to online forum discussions and access to a user group support programme, currently being formed.

Corporate Memberships include all benefits available to paid individual members, and more, plus the possibility of everyone at the company becoming members.

Corporate membership packages offered range from $250 to $2500 per year with discounts available for academic institutions.

"The CAD Society has always sought to be the voice of the CAD industry and with these new membership programmes we can provide benefits to our members that we could not before", said Joe Greco, President of The CAD Society.

"We plan to expand the benefits over time with co-operation from CAD users and developers".

Since 1985, membership in The CAD Society has been a valuable resource to those within the CAD industry.

The CAD Society provides excellent networking opportunities and is looking to expand opportunities by adding additional programmes such as design competitions and a mentoring programme for students interested in design and engineering.

The new website provides detailed information about membership packages and the CAD industry.

In addition, a survey is now available to better understand the needs of members, and those providing the best answers to the survey will be awarded prizes.

Membership of The CAD Society can be paid for via cheque, credit card or with PayPal.
