Nominations open for CAD industry awards
The 2007 CAD Society Industry Awards acknowledge individual contributions within the computer aided-design and engineering software industry.
The CAD Society is now accepting nominations for the 2007 CAD Society Industry Awards, which acknowledge individual contributions within the computer aided-design (CAD) and engineering software industry CAD and engineering software applications fulfill a multitude of society's needs in nearly every aspect of manufactured products produced today

The CAD Society presents awards in three categories.
The Leadership Award is for outstanding technical and business leadership in the CAD industry, and focus and dedication to the needs of CAD users.
Dana K "Deke" Smith was the 2006 recipient of the Leadership award.
Other past award recipients include: Robert McNeel, Tony Affuso, Tom Butta, Jon Hirschtick, Bernard Charles and Frank Perna.
The Joe Greco Community Award is for outstanding work in improving communication and developing community within the CAD industry.
Chris Yessios was the 2006 recipient of the Community award.
Other past award recipients include: Lynn Allen, Randall Rath, CJ Shirk, Kristine Fallon, Ralph Grabowski and Amy Rowell.
The Lifetime Award is given for a lifetime of outstanding technical and business contributions to the CAD industry.
Russell F Henke was the 2006 recipient of the Lifetime award.
Other past award recipients include: Ken Versprille, L Stephen Wolfe, Carl Machover, Dr Joel Orr, Patrick Hanratty and Jason Lemon.
The board members of the CAD Society will review all nominations on 1st March 2007 and will determine the award winners for each of the three categories.
Nominations should be sent by 28th February 2007.
The recipients of the awards will be announced and posted on the CAD Society website prior to COFES 2007 (Congress On the Future of Engineering Software).
The awards will be presented at COFES 2007, which will be held from 12th to 15th April in Scottsdale, Arizona.
