Courses help brush up IT skills
December sees the start of a series of courses by the Technology Innovation Centre (TIC) in Birmingham, to help everyone advance their IT skills.
The places on the tic's NVQ level 5 courses, which lead to an MSc qualification, are filling up quickly because some candidates are eligible for bursaries, depending on their status.
That may well mean they may not need to pay fees.
At its postgraduate open day on 9th July (1500-1800) the tic invites graduates, company training managers and other senior executives, to come and see just how they can enhance their companies' competitiveness in global markets through improving technological skill levels.
They will be shown how the tic's postgraduate, MSc and other professional development courses can add skills value to both individuals and businesses.
The tic has expanded its courses in response to industry's requirements.
Included in the increasing range of tic courses are some of the most sought after specialist automotive-related technologies, as well as logistics and supply chain management, datacommunications, electronic commerce, environmental pollution control and software technology.
The tic has also recently announced an exciting postgraduate degree in digital television technology and production.
This uses the tic's newly built studio with its virtual set.
Open day briefings by tic experts illustrate just why it is one of the highest rated UK universities for adding value to its engineering and technology students, helping students with a broad range of entry qualifications achieve their full potential.
Visitors will also be able to tour the tic's advanced Millennium Point facilities.
