Help for manufacturers to make production "lean" will be demonstrated by Birmingham's Technology Innovation Centre at the 2004 Midlands Manufacturing Exhibition this Wednesday and Thursday.
Help for manufacturers to make production "lean" will be demonstrated by Birmingham's Technology Innovation Centre at the 2004 Midlands Manufacturing Exhibition this Wednesday and Thursday - 24th and 25th March.
Lean manufacturing enables a business to go rapidly from design to manufacture.
The TIC stand (32) offers demonstrations of design software as well as a seminar, at 1245 GMT on Wednesday, These will help visitors "learn to be lean".
The TIC has helped transform many traditional Midlands manufacturers in the automotive, jewellery and giftware industries.
"Lean" technology transfer schemes and training, are now a major activity for the University of Central England's TIC.
