Courses help brush up IT skills
December sees the start of a series of courses by the Technology Innovation Centre (TIC) in Birmingham, to help everyone advance their IT skills.
This has led to part-time, postgraduate study courses being offered under a subsidised scheme at the TIC.
Course fee reductions of up to 70% are available.
TIC's Postgraduate Programme Director David Gray says: "Automotive supply-chain SMEs can boost their chances of success in a highly competitive world through raising the skills of key engineering staff".
Although the support funding is aimed primarily at automotive SME suppliers, the TIC is also able to offer other subsidised courses to interested graduates.
A record half-million plus people now pursue postgraduate degrees in UK.
The TIC not only offers courses covering advanced automotive engineering and supply chain management, but also in a range of other disciplines including engineering product design, logistics, environmental engineering, software technology and television technology.
Opportunities for employers or individuals to explore TIC postgraduate and other study possibilities are offered at Millennium Point open days on 10th December 2004 and 14th January 2005 between 1000 and 1600 GMT.
