Composite-Lined Self-Lube Bearing goes metric
Thomson IBL Company announces the availability in metric sizes of its composite-lined FluoroNyliner bushing bearing for smooth, low friction linear and rotary operation under harsh conditions
Thomson IBL Company announces the availability in metric sizes of its composite-lined FluoroNyliner bushing bearing that provides smooth, low friction linear and rotary operation under harsh conditions, even in environments where temperatures range from -240C to 288C.
The bearing, which is available in over 100 ISO metric variations and sizes from 8mm to 50mm, operates without lubrication in contaminated, washdown, submerged, and vacuum conditions.
This new bearing is ideal for use in a broad range of harsh environments such as food processing, packaging, pulp, paper and woodworking, and fitness equipment.
Its highly wear-resistant proprietary composite liner withstands shock and vibration, high speed and rapid acceleration, short strokes, weld spatter, machining debris, cutting fluids, slurries and aggressive chemicals.
The FluoroNyliner bushing bearing comes in closed, open and self-aligning designs.
Closed or open pillow blocks are also available in single or twin versions with or without seals.
Key performance features include: speed up to 0.71m/sec dry and 2.0m/sec lubricated with a maximum pressure of 10.34 Mpa and a PV of 20 Mpa m/sec.
Bearing load capacities are up to 51kN.
More information on the new FluoroNyliner bushing bearing and a copy of a four-page technical bulletin which rates the bearing's resistance to approximately 100 commonly used industrial and food processing chemicals is now available.
