Thomson Micron has developed a hollow shaft right angle gearhead for its popular Duratrue True Planetary gearhead product line.

Thomson Micron has developed a hollow shaft right angle gearhead for its popular Duratrue True Planetary gearhead product line.

It provides a direct coupling to multiple drives, making it ideal for tightly constrained designs.

The Duratrue 90deg hollow shaft gearhead increases system reliability while decreasing system cost by eliminating the need for separate couplings and saving space with a shorter installed length.

The Duratrue 90 hollow shaft gearhead offers a backlash of 8 arc-minutes, has a peak torque rating of 842 Nm and has a peak radial load capacity of up to 8 kN.

It is available in 90mm, 115mm and 142mm sq.

frame sizes, and ratios of 1:1 to 500:1.

Within the 3 frame sizes, select from three standard bore sizes: DTR90H (22mm), DTR115H (30mm), and DTR142H (38mm).

Duratrue 90 planetary gearheads are the ideal choice for replacing older, spiral bevel geared right angle gearheads.

In a smaller, low inertia package, Duratrue 90 planetary gearheads deliver higher torque and longer life than spiral bevel geared right angle gearheads.

Additional features include: steel gears hardened to HRC 60 minimum for long life, lifetime lubrication designed to reduce costly downtime, light weight anodized aluminum housing, needle bearings on planet gears, and easy mounting with the RediMount* motor mounting system.
