The acquisition of Neff Antriebstechnik Automation by Danaher Motion took place on 1st May 2004 almost unnoticed by the experts The integration process is now almost complete and both companies are now embarking towards a promising joint future

The well established German based company, a manufacturer of linear motion components and assemblies, has built up an excellent reputation in the European market for screw drives, linear drive units and worm gear screw jacks for almost 100 years.

This prompted the acquisition of Neff by the American company Danaher Motion in May this year.

The Neff product range superbly compliments the Danaher Motion portfolio.

In the future, Danaher Motion will focus on consolidating the success of Neff, above all, in Europe.

Robert Caddick, Marketing Director at Danaher Motion is convinced: "The excellent customer relationships established by the marketing and service teams at Neff are of great significance for our business".

"In addition, the co-operation between the R and D departments at Neff and Danaher Motion creates a valuable platform for the development of new products in the area of linear drives".

Up to now, the linear motion products from Danaher Motion were marketed under the brand name Thomson.

The new link between the brand name Thomson and the Neff range enhances the product portfolio even further.

"We therefore decided to underline this synergy by introducing a new brand name".

"In future, the well-established Neff programme will be marketed internationally under the name Thomson Neff", Caddick explains.

For the first time, the new Thomson Neff products will be exhibited at the Motek exhibition in Sinsheim from 21st to 24th September 2004.

The enhanced diversity of products from the integration into Danaher Motion greatly enhances the value to Neff customers.

Danaher Motion manufactures both Thomson and Thomson Neff products.
