Thomson Micron has added three new metric models - frame sizes 60, 90 and 115mm - to its expanding NemaTrue planetary gearhead series.

Thomson Micron has added three new metric models - frame sizes 60, 90 and 115mm - to its expanding NemaTrue planetary gearhead series.

The product line, which provides long life in a compact low-inertia package, is currently available in three English Nema sizes: 23, 34 and 42.

In addition, the entire line now offers a choice of two front face mounting options - Nema and metric - and has been upgraded to be RediMount compliant, which permits mounting to any motor.

The front face options provide easy drop-in replacement for competitive gearheads, parallel-shaft spur gearheads and other similar reducers.

The gearbox mounts in less than five minutes using the company's self-aligning RediMount motor mounting.

Factory-supplied lifetime lubrication virtually eliminates maintenance and costly downtime.

24-hour delivery is available on select ratios.

Other features include: 13arc-min maximum backlash standard (8arc-min option available); ratios from 3:1 to 100:1 in all sizes; peak torque rating up to 1600in/lb; peak radial load up to 1200lbf; an anodised aluminium housing; and steel gears hardened to HRC 60 minimum for long life.
