wAvailable from Thomson Airpax Mechatronics, the Series H42S is a high-torque 42mm hybrid step motor The 1.8-degree step motors - measuring 42mm square - are available in motor lengths of 25, 34, 40 and 48mm

These high-efficiency motors come in both unipolar and bipolar versions, have a holding torque range between 156 and 441mNm, and weigh between 150 and 340g.

They feature a +/-5% per step step angle accuracy, and maximum temperature rise of 80oC.

This combination of high torque and small footprint makes the Series H42S ideal for applications requiring fast acceleration as well as sustained high speed.

These include office automation/computer peripherals (printers); medical (scanners); fluid handling and industrial (pumps and test equipment) and robotics.

Consistent with Thomson Airpax Mechatronics' focus on satisfying customer needs, the Series H42S was designed for an automated assembly friendly to modification.

Flexibility exists in accommodating different lead terminations and shaft modifications to fit most applications.

Other specifications include: current ratings between 0.40 and 1.20A; resistance per winding between 3.2 and 30ohm; dielectric withstanding voltage of 500V AC for 1min; inductance per winding between 2.4 and 37mH; rotor moment of inertia between 20 and 82gcm2; and detent torque between 120 and 200gcm.
