The Deltran PT Duralife-33 is an electromagnetic wrap spring clutch that combines high torque, reliability and rapid acceleration into one small package - at a very competitive price The wrap spring technology of the Duralife-33 allows for very fast response to bring loads from zero to full speed in 10ms or less, depending on the application requirements

It provides 3.4Nm of total load over a cycle life of 1 million actuations.

The Duralife-33 exceeds industry life requirements with little cycle-to-cycle variation.

"Because the Duralife-33 interchanges with other popular high performance wrap spring clutches, its "drop in" capability makes it ideal for use in office automation applications, such as printers, copiers, microfilm readers or paper cutters", states John Pieri, Product Manager of Deltran PT brakes and clutches.

"We are also seeing successes in the auto market segment in cruise control and cinch actuator system applications", said Pieri.

The DuraLIFE-33 is available with the following options: clockwise or anticlockwise direction; bores sizes of 0.25in, 0.3125in, 6mm or 8mm; voltages of 12, 24 or 90V DC; and electrical connection via moulded connector or 12in flying leads.

Designed for low power consumption, and easy mechanical and electrical assembly, the Duralife-33 is a low-cost alternative that provides the high torque, long life and reliable performance needed for higher load applications.
