The Thomson TC Series of robust and reliable precision actuators includes the TC2, TC3, TC4 and TC5 rod-style actuators.

The Thomson TC Series of robust and reliable precision actuators includes the TC2, TC3, TC4, and TC5 rod-style actuators.

The easily programmed TC Series actuators are available with a choice of stepper, servo, or DC motor with drive/controller for compatibility with every motion control environment.

Typical industry applications include positioning, web edge guiding, indexing, traversing, stamping, forming, bending and other harsh industrial environments.

Thomson TC Series actuators are designed for a broad range of capabilities from light thrust loads handled by the TC2 through heavy thrust loads up to 25kN handled by the TC5.

The actuators feature stroke lengths up to 1424mm, speeds up to 1300mm/s in four ranges, and repeatability to 0.0005in.

Custom lengths are also available.

Thomson TC Series actuator features precision rolled ball screws as standard, yielding quiet operation, low backlash and high accuracy.

The TC2 and TC3 models also feature quiet acme screw models for applications where back-driving must be minimised.

The Thomson TC precision actuators are able to operate in temperatures ranging from -30 to +70C.

Their design eliminates the need for most routine maintenance and protects against dust and corrosion.

The TC Series is IP54 rated.

Because of the inherent rugged capabilities of the Thomson TC actuators, they can be used to replace traditional hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.

The electric TC actuators are less costly, more compact, and much cleaner than hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders.

Easy to install and program, with flexible mounting configurations, the TC Series actuators are available with many options including encoders or linear potentiometers for position feedback, load-holding brakes, protective boots and quick-disconnect cables.
