New from Danaher Motion is the Thomson 500 Series profile rail linear guides.

New from Danaher Motion is the Thomson 500 Series profile rail linear guides.

Available in ball or roller profile configurations, the next generation Thomson 500 Series features exceptional rail straightness, smoother, quieter operation through insert moulded recirculation paths, and simpler installation on joint-free rails up to 6m long.

"The Thomson 500 Series is available in a variety of standard and extended standard designs and sizes to meet nearly any application requirement", says Ian Rubin, Marketing Project Manager.

"The 500 Series is easily integrated into new or existing applications, and our easy-to-use modular carriage design simplifies on-site field modifications".

"Additionally, our large offering of modular accessories, including sealing and lubrication options, result in linear guide solutions that are easily customised in the field".

Advanced grinding and straightening technologies, and one-piece rail lengths up to 6m, result in greater rail accuracies for improved machine operation.

A patented insert moulded recirculation path eliminates metal-to-metal contact outside the load zone, and optimised geometries with minimal transitions through the recirculation path eliminate potential misalignment for smoother, quieter operation.

Additional features include: internal grease pockets on the 500 Series Ball product for improved protection and longer life; multiple lubrication inlet points that are field modifiable for design and upgrade flexibility, reduced component inventory; and standard built-in longitudinal seals provide improved out-of-the-box sealing to protect the rolling elements along the rail ball or roller path.

The Thomson 500 Series replaces the Thomson AccuMax and AccuGlide standard ball product assortment.

The Thomson MicroGuide, AccuGlide Mini, and T-Series are still available.
