Servos and gearheads make a true match
Gearmotors combine AKM series servomotors with tried and tested true planetary gearheads.
New from Danaher Motion, the AKM range of gearmotors combines AKM series servomotors with tried and tested true planetary gearheads The new gearmotors promise short installation and testing times and, as the two modules are perfectly matched, optimum performance

In addition, particularly high torques and optimised precision are further hallmarks of the AKM gearmotors.
These along with a variety of other features make them suitable for the most challenging applications.
The highly dynamic, high speed AKM solutions, which are available in an extraordinarily wide range, boast one of the highest torque densities on the market, as well as a special cogging and distortion-reducing electromagnetic design.
Customers have a standard choice of over 14 feedback options for the resolver, SFD (smart feedback device), commutation encoder and absolute sine encoder.
The motors conform to all the important international installation standards, including European standards, although they are also available in customised designs on request.
Danaher Motion also possesses an unusually wide range of true planetary gearheads.
The extremely torsion-proof gearheads are available in housings of 40 to 220mm and with transmission ratios of between 1:1 and 500:1.
Thanks to the helical toothed design, optimised values can be achieved in terms of load-bearing capability, smooth running, torque and precision.
The gearhead backlash throughout the service life is under 4arc-min thanks to the hardened, nonwearing toothed wheels.
True planetary gearheads have lifetime lubrication, are completely maintenance-free and possess a nonrusting, very hard-wearing steel housing for use in challenging environments.
