The Manufacturing Institute is inviting scholarship applications for its prestigious MSc in manufacturing leadership which is run in partnership with the six-star Lancaster University Management School.

Potential students have until the end of November to apply for scholarship places for the January 2007 intake of the two-year part-time programme.

Targeted at experienced decision makers in the manufacturing sector, the MSc develops elite business leaders and prepares them to drive the innovative, advanced manufacturing companies of the future.

This flagship programme is results driven and centres on the resolution of complex manufacturing and business challenges, with the focus on bringing real performance improvements for the individuals and the manufacturing companies they are helping to drive.

These companies range from entrepreneurial startups to medium-to-large enterprises looking for growth and new market opportunities.

The MSc has been developed with support from the Northern Aerospace Technology Exploitation Centre.

It has been specially formulated to minimise workplace disruption, with only 15 days off-site training a year.

Other teaching methods include highly interactive e-learning, written project work and access to a network of leading manufacturing enterprises through best practice factory visits.
