The new Genesis 17in SXGA panel PC joins 12.1in and 15in panel PCs already in use in factory control and kiosks.

The new Genesis 17in SXGA panel PC joins 12.1in and 15in panel PCs already in use in factory control and kiosks.

The 17in Genesis PC is based around Evalue's ECM5612 Celeron 1GHz CPU card.

Connectivity includes Ethernet, two USB ports, three serial ports and a printer port.

Connectors for FDD and CD-ROM are also provided.

The Genesis range provides off-the-shelf pricing with the option of a semi-bespoke spec if needed.

Touchscreen is standard with a polycarbonate protective window as an option.

The Genesis 17 offers significantly larger screen 'real estate' compared with a 15in panel PC.

In an HMI application, this might allow for a more comprehensive monitoring panel, or a more detailed plant mimic.

In a kiosk, this will boost the impact of the screen from all angles or allow higher-quality graphics to be run alongside interactive user-ware.
