Arms lend support to touch screen displays
A new range of ultrastable and ergonomic monitor support arms is specifically designed to support touch screens in industrial control systems and similar high-stress applications.
Ultrastable and ergonomic monitor support arms specifically designed to support touch screens in command and control centres, operating theatres, industrial control systems and similar high stress applications have been introduced by Trident, following a new partnership with the US manufacturer Ergotron.
According to Trident, touch screen control is becoming increasingly popular in a wide range of human-machine interface (HMI) applications, but it is clearly vital that the monitor remains stable when touched.
This is especially the case where a critical operation is being performed, and the operator may be working under considerable pressure.
Fully compatible with all Trident standard OEM and industrial LCD monitors, the Ergotron monitor arm range combines exceptional stability in use, with full adjustability to meet the operator's needs at all times.
Trident offers the full range of Ergotron flat panel arms, including desk, wall, ceiling and mobile mounting solutions.
More specific capabilities on offer include mountings for heavy display units, multi-monitor units, integrated keyboard and monitor units and monitor drawers.
Trident can also offer Ergotron CRT mounting arms if required.
Commenting on the addition of Ergotron to Trident's portfolio, Managing Director Graham Grover said: "Ergotron is a recognised leader in its field, with a 20 year track record in workstation design, and over 35 patents including those for the first flat panel arms.
We believe that this agreement will be a great asset to us in working with our customer to develop outstanding man machine interface solutions".
Inge van Noort, Medical Sales Manager of Ergotron added: "Trident's profile in the display industry is beyond question, and we believe that they have a significant contribution to make in taking our internationally recognised products to its customer base of monitor users in the UK and Benelux".
