High-speed response from linear motor encoder

A Trilogy Systems product story

A novel low-cost simple-to-use linear motor encoder is designed for use in demanding high-speed applications.

Trilogy Systems now offers a low cost, simple to use linear motor encoder (LME) developed for use in demanding high-speed applications.

The LME was specifically designed for the high speeds, high accelerations, and millions of cycles found in linear motor applications.

Available in 1 and 5um resolutions the LME has the smallest read head in its class.

The read head also includes the interpolation circuitry and reference mark so it's cable is direct to the drive, with no interpolation box or connector.

And the LME's cable has been proven in tens of thousands of linear motor applications with rolling cable tracks and small bend radii.

The LME not only runs fast it also installs fast, with very forgiving noncritical alignment.

Gaps are typically 100 to 600% greater than optical encoders with the same resolution.

The LME uses proven magnetic tape technology and is impervious to dirt, moisture and grime.

Trilogy now offers LME encoders as standard on all Trilogy linear motor positioners and actuators.

LME's are in stock and are also available a component for high-speed belt applications.
