TCT is a critical event for any company that is looking to reduce its costs or lead times at any stage of the design and manufacturing process The event will enable delegates and visitors to learn about the latest developments in time-compression technologies and products and find the necessary suppliers and primary service providers quickly and easily

TCT 2002 is returning to the Manchester International Convention Centre (MICC), Manchester, UK and will take place 16th-17th October 2002.

The TCT conference and exhibition is recognized as the largest European rapid product development conference and provides a unique industry forum for Europeûs top design engineers and research teams.

For key industry players, this is the one place to meet with suppliers, keep on top of the latest industry developments and network with like-minded individuals.

Reducing development times and production costs has always been critical in getting products to market ahead of the competition.

TCT 2002 offers attendees the impetus and knowledge to reduce costs and lead times and make competitive manufacturing a reality.

Delegates to the event in previous years support this view: "I visited the TCT conference for the first time in 2001.

My goal was to bring myself up-to-date with the knowledge, processes and expertise involved so that I could be in a position to suggest and apply the optimum techniques in our own technology programmes.

Ironically enough, the TCT conference provides its own time-compression technique in enabling me to amass a vast amount of information and collect many valuable contacts in only two days.

For a relative newcomer to some of the TCTs available, like myself, the process would otherwise take much longer.

Overall, the conference surpassed my expectations by providing a broad subject base whilst maintaining a relevant and eminently practical foundation", says Richard Capewell, Project Design Engineer, TRW Aeronautical Systems.

On the first morning of the two-day conference, two rapid prototyping master-classes will run in parallel with the conference session, offering delegates the opportunity to get up-to-speed with RP processes and applications and will be hosted by two of the best-respected industry professionals: The RP processes master-class will be led by Graham Tromans of Land Rover, who is President of the Stereolithography Users Association; Chairman of the RPMA (Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing Association) and a member of the RAPTIA project.

The RP applications master-class will be hosted by Joel Segal of the University of Nottingham.

After a brief spell at PERA, he moved to the Rapid Prototyping and Tooling team at Rover Group.

He is currently studying for a PhD at the University of Nottingham looking at the effects of rapid tooling technologies on the properties of injection moulded prototypes.

Speakers at the TCT conference come from some of the world's most prestigious R and D teams and manufacturing companies.

There are no sales presentations made.
